After being knocked down by the American, Raoni lost consciousness, only regaining it some time later and leaving the octagon on a stretcher. From then on, many began to speculate about what happened to the Brazilian, considering the possibility that he had suffered a stroke (Cerebrovascular Accident), popularly known as a stroke, or a heart problem, causing a heart attack, during the fight.
Aware of the concern surrounding the athlete, Davi, on his official Instagram account, made a point of dismissing the rumors and praising him. It's worth noting that, despite the huge age difference (18 years), the veteran reportedly won against the MMA prospect based on the scores of all three judges.
“The Master and I are very happy with Raoni’s performance, with all the work he has done. I want to let you know that Raoni is doing well, to reassure you. Raoni is fine, but yes, please continue praying for him, because that is fundamental for all of us. Thank you for all your affection, for the messages you are sending us.”
"Yes, Raoni did suffer a sudden illness during the fight, but he didn't have a stroke, there was nothing wrong with his heart, no heart attack, nothing like that. In fact, something happened that we still can't explain, we're waiting for the doctors' report and the results of other tests, but I just want to say that he's doing well."
“Yesterday, I spoke with him, we made a video that he will post on his social media. I just want to thank you all. Thank you for all the support. Keep believing in the guy, because the fight he put up there is deserving, worthy of being a champion. Thank you for all your support.”
