Josh Hokit increased the tension in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg) after firing shots at Tom Aspinall . The American, who will fight for the division's undisputed title against Ciryl Gane at UFC 334 on November 14th in New York (USA), questioned the severity of the medical problems that caused the Briton to relinquish the title.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani's YouTube channel, available this Monday (28), the outspoken man did not spare criticism of the former champion and even questioned the surgeries performed by the athlete. Hokit also raised the possibility that Aspinall was thinking about new challenges outside the organization.

“He gets conjunctivitis, posts on Instagram like, ‘Hey, everyone feel sorry for me. I still can’t fight.’ He fakes surgery, all that other stuff. I think he’s just trying to get out of the contract, to be 100% honest. It’s all fake, guys. It’s not real. I don’t know if he’s paying doctors, but I think he’s trying to make money in boxing,” Josh Hokit said.

Tom Aspinall 's withdrawal opened the door for a new heavyweight title fight. The Briton vacated the belt after further problems related to the eye injury he suffered in the fight against Gane, and the Frenchman, who had won the interim title, was promoted to undisputed champion.
Now, Ciryl Gane will make his first title defense against Josh Hokit in the main event of UFC 334. Undefeated in MMA, the American comes into the fight with 10 wins, while the Frenchman has a record of 14 wins, two losses, and one no contest.
