Three months after being defeated for the first time as a professional, Ilia Topuria is already starting preparations for his return to the most famous octagon on the planet. In a video published by the 'DSI Performance Lab' laboratory last Tuesday (29), the former featherweight (up to 65,7 kg) and lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) champion appears performing a specific training to improve his reaction time.
In the video, the fighter interacts with a screen displaying signals that must be touched as quickly as possible. A very common training method among high-performance athletes, this activity aims to exercise the ability to react to stimuli and take advantage of opportunities in the sport, in this case, MMA. He has been showing through social media that he is getting closer to returning, although there is still no official date.

One of the most popular names in the sport, Topuria is known for training in major performance centers. Despite having one of the most successful careers in history, the Georgian/Spanish fighter has been facing uncertainty since his brutal defeat to Justin Gaethje . Previously undefeated, "El Matador" left the octagon at the White House with a disfigured face and needing his brother's help to get around.
