Brazilian Mário Miranda renewed his contract with the UFC yesterday (7) for four more fights. Miranda has one win in three fights held in the event, where he debuted in March of this year against American Gerald Harris at UFC Fight Night 21. On that occasion, the Brazilian was defeated by technical knockout in the first round of the fight valid for the middleweight category.
Miranda's only UFC victory was a technical knockout win against Canadian David Loiseau at UFC 115 in June of this year. In his last fight, he was defeated by his compatriot Demian Maia by unanimous decision at UFC 118 last August.
Miranda's fourth fight in the UFC should take place in the first quarter of 2011. The athlete, who was undefeated in 11 fights until being hired by the UFC, plans to return to Brazil soon until the date and opponent of his next fight are defined.
Johnny Walker opens up about his heavyweight debut at UFC 332.
