In an interview given today (15), in England, UFC president, Dana White, once again stated that he plans to hold editions of the event on the continents of South America, Europe and Asia next year. The countries targeted by the UFC are mainly Brazil, France, Italy, Scotland and India, given the growing popularization of MMA around the world.

According to White, Brazil is a strong candidate to host its second edition of the UFC after its successful campaign to host the 2016 Olympic Games, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro. The president of the organization, together with his partner, Lorenzo Fertitta, see Brazil as a great market opportunity.

“We talked about the possibility of the UFC returning to Brazil in 2011, as a country with the capacity to hold the Olympics cannot be out of our plans,” said White.

Another region highlighted by directors as a future host for an edition of the event is Scandinavia, which covers Sweden, Norway and Denmark. According to the UFC representative in the United Kingdom, Marshall Zelaznik, the region is the third largest European consumer market for products linked to the organization's brand.

“We will soon hold an event in Scandinavia, as we have been gaining international experience over the last few years with the UFC. This also allows us to reach Brazil, China and India in the future”, highlighted Zelaznik.

Tomorrow (16) UFC 120 will take place, which will be held in England and will have as its main attraction the fight between the English Michael Bisping and Japanese Yoshihiro Akyiama. This will be the ninth opportunity that the UFC will be based on English soil, which, according to White, will possibly host another edition of the event next year.
