He attacked again. In a statement released by 'Valuetainment Media’, Colby covington selected Sean Strickland as the target of his acid provocations and accused the former UFC champion of having committed a crime in Las Vegas (USA). According to the veteran, the average weight (up to 83,9kg) would have threatened a civilian with a firearm.
“He was kicked out of my category. He couldn't cope. He was massacred, knocked out, because he couldn't adapt. I think he's an asshole. (…) This guy is literally going to kill someone one day. He is under investigation in Las Vegas. A drunk guy was walking the streets near his house. He (Strickland) came out and pointed a gun at the guy. He will have to go to court,” Covington said.

The episode described by Colby occurred in November 2023. Security camera footage caught Sean's intimidating action in front of a civilian who was walking near his residence.
Former UFC middleweight champion, Sean's stint was erased when he competed in the organization's welterweight division (up to 77,1kg). In his career, the North American accumulated defeats against names like Santiago Ponzinibbio, Kamaru Usman e Elizeu Capoeira.
The center of the accusations, Covington is going through a delicate moment in his career. At 36 years old, the 'bad boy' has accumulated three defeats in his last five appearances, all of which came in title fights.
