Weidman reveals unusual feat in preparation to face Blindado

Former middleweight champion returns to the octagon and faces off against a Brazilian on the main card of UFC Atlantic City; fight takes place this Saturday (30)

Scheduled to perform at UFC Atlantic City, Chris Weidman did not hesitate when revealing the unusual way he prepared himself for confrontation against Bruno Blindado. Looking to return to winning ways after triumphing once in his last five fights, the former middleweight champion said he had watched several of his next opponent's fights. The fight takes place this Saturday (30).

“I saw more fights than Bruno Blindado than any other fighter I've ever fought, which is probably still less than most other fighters. But for me, it was a lot,” said Weidman in an interview on 'media day'.

At 39, Chris Weidman returns to the octagon in search of returning to the winning path. In his last appearance, the North American was defeated by Brad Tavares after having difficulty moving and absorbing numerous blows to his leg, which had undergone surgery to recover from a fracture suffered in the octagon in 2021.
